Translation of a Driving License

Translation of a Driving License

Travelling by car while overseas is quite a popular leisure activity. You can do it using your own car or rent a car upon arrival.

To drive abroad, you’ll need an international driving permit (IDP). Otherwise, you’ll need a translation of your driving license to sit behind the wheel in a foreign country

Driving licenses are usually translated if you:

  • Move permanently to another country;

  • Rent a car during a temporary stay abroad; or

  • Travel in your own car to or around a foreign country.

Edelweiss has been translating driving licenses, as part of its personal-document translation services, for over 20 years. So, if you’re going abroad and need your driving license over there, we’ll translate it for you into English or any other foreign language in the promptest manner possible.

Foreign travellers driving to or around Russia must have their driving licenses translated, too. For instance, Ukrainian-to-Russian translations of driving licenses are very much in demand among our customers.

Note that, in most cases, translations of driving licenses must be notarized. With Edelweiss at hand, you can save much time and effort by having your driving license both translated and notarized at one place.

A driving license translated by Edelweiss will cause no problems with authorities. Good luck on the road!
