Apostille

Legalization of documents is not necessarily complex and lengthy. In those countries that have signed the Hague Convention as of October 5, 1961, documents can be legalized through a simplified procedure. All you need is just to get them apostilled. That’s it.

An apostille is a special stamp certifying the authenticity of the official seal and signature on the document. This stamp makes the document effective in other countries.

Documents may need to be apostilled in many situations, such as:

  • Getting married to a foreign citizen;

  • Giving birth abroad;

  • Studying abroad;

  • Dealing with foreign business partners.

and so on.

Please note that some countries require a double apostille.

However, a notary public will not certify the apostille on poorly translated or formatted documents.
